Windows 10 · 11 (64-bit). Sign in with your Google account (Kakao and Naver also work) and the download starts — there is no separate sign-up or password. Unzip it and double-click AutoHanoWorks.exe; there is no installer. If Windows shows an "Unknown publisher" warning the first time, click [More info] and then [Run anyway]. These sentences only show the format. Real answers are written by the AI you connect, based on the facts (rungs, addresses, FBs) Works reads from your files. AI answers are for reference; people decide and apply.

Your AI, your tools

There is no AI built into the app and no AI fee. The Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor or Codex you already use — or Claude and ChatGPT on the web — connect to Works to read, and the development happens there. Your files stay on your PC; only the parts the AI asks for go to that tool.

Connect your AI — one address, one sign-in

Add https://works.autohano.com/mcp as a connector in Claude (web or app), ChatGPT or Claude Code, and sign in with the same account you use for Works. That's it. The AI's tool calls run in Works on your PC, and only the resulting text goes to the AI through the AutoHano account server (the account server does not store it). The AI can read the project list, version history, ladder written out as text, ST source, address history and the differences between two versions, and can turn programs into .xgwx files checked by XG5000. Works does not edit your files — people apply the AI's drafts in XG5000.

For Claude Code it is one line in the terminal: claude mcp add --transport http autohano-works https://works.autohano.com/mcp. For Codex and Cursor, the command to connect directly on your PC is in the app under [Settings → Connect AI], with a copy button. Custom connectors in Claude and ChatGPT are often limited to paid plans, so check each company's help pages. Works must be running for the AI to use its tools.

Get AI reading your PLC files in 3 minutes

There is no installer. Training samples are included, so you can try it right away without preparing any files.

Download and double-click. Unzip and run AutoHanoWorks.exe; a small launcher window opens. Press [Sign in] once — from your first sign-in you can use every feature for 7 days (30 days if you tick the [Optional] news and offers box when signing in).

Press [Connect AI] once. In the launcher window, press [Connect] next to your AI tool, then quit and restart that tool — "Works" appears in it. For Claude or ChatGPT on the web, add the address as a connector.

Ask your AI. "Summarize this project", "Where is %MX0 used?", "What changed between these two versions?" — it answers from Works data.

Bring a whole folder. Drag in a folder of files saved with dates in their names and it becomes the history as it is. The same content is stored only once, and your originals are never touched.

Your originals stay untouched. Added files are handled only as copies; Works never edits a project or writes to equipment.

Your files stay on your PC. They are not uploaded to a server. The AI runs on your own account, and automatic backup is on by default.

With evidence. The AI gets facts such as rung numbers, addresses and FBs, and the locations behind each answer come back with it, so people can check right away.

A history you can trust. The same content stored once, comparison that finds the same rung even when rung numbers shift, change history per address, and reports you can print or copy.

The free plan is a complete history and comparison tool, and AI reads are Free 10 a month · Starter 100 · Unlimited no limit. What you pay for is HMI screens, more AI reads, more .xgwx generation and report branding. The AI itself is billed by the tool you use; AutoHano does not charge for it.

Frequently asked questions

Do I pay separately for the AI?

Not to AutoHano. The AI is billed by the tool you use (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT and so on). History, comparison, search and reports all work without any AI.

How are AI reads counted?

One read is 30 minutes from the moment the AI first reads Works data. Within that time it counts as one read no matter how many times the AI calls the tools, and the count starts over each month. When you run out, the AI tells you so, and comparison, Find address and the ladder view in the Works app keep working. Starter has 100 a month; Unlimited has no limit.

Does the AI change my PLC files?

No. Works never edits the files you add and never writes to a PLC. .xgwx generation only creates a separate new file. The AI writes explanations, suggestions and draft documents, and people apply changes in XG5000. Add the result again and it continues the history.

What if the AI gets something wrong?

The AI gets the facts Works reads (rung numbers, addresses, FBs), and each tool answer includes the locations behind it, so people can check right away. AI answers are for reference; the final decision and applying changes are up to people.

How do I sign up?

There is no separate sign-up. Press [Download free] and choose your Google account (Kakao and Naver also work) — that's it. When you start the app for the first time in the same browser, one click on [Continue with this account] is enough. You never create a new password.

Do I need to sign in to download?

Yes. From download to daily use, Works runs on your account. An account is used on one PC at a time, and trials and paid plans belong to that account. Sign-in only gives us your email and name; your files never go to a server.

Does it work on a shop-floor PC without internet?

Internet is needed only to sign in. All file processing runs on your PC; if the connection drops, you can keep working for a day and it continues when you are back online. Connecting an AI needs internet.

Which files can it read?

XG5000 projects (.xgwx) and XP-Builder HMI projects (.xpd, based on V3900 · compatible with V3800 · read-only for V3600/V3500). Versions outside the supported list and damaged files are refused, with the reason.

Can I add my customers' PLC files?

Your files stay on your PC and never go to a server. On no plan does anyone look at the logic in your files or use it to train AI. When you ask a connected AI, the source and analysis results it asks for go to that AI tool, so choose an AI tool that fits your confidentiality obligations to your customers.

What is a designated PC?

Paid plans and trials open on 2 designated PCs per account. PCs you sign in on fill the free slots in turn, and you use one at a time. If you changed PCs, you can clear the designation once a month on the app's [Plan] screen, and the current PC becomes designated. On a PC that isn't designated, Works opens as the free plan.

Windows shows an "Unknown publisher" warning

That is Windows SmartScreen on first run. Click [More info], then [Run anyway]. The program is downloaded only to signed-in accounts, and new versions are applied only after the AutoHano signature is verified.

Is everything available in English?

Yes — the app, the launcher, this page, the illustrated guide and the legal documents (terms of use, license terms and refunds, privacy policy). How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to [Settings → Account → Delete account]. Your account, devices and records on the account server are deleted, and the project history on your PC stays. You can also ask at [email protected].
